The picture does no justice, but I’m having a seriously amazing hair day today. It’s been quite a while since I’ve had a successful twist out, so I’m overly excited. I also gave myself a trim for the first time since sometime last year. I don’t find myself having to trim every few weeks since I work extremly hard at preserving my ends…but every once in a while, they have to go. Any ends that I can see through must go immediately, as not to continue splitting upwards and having to cut more. I also finally got around to doing the Bentonite Clay Mask Treatment again which I’ll now be doing once a week. It makes my hair so soft! By the way, I attemped to film this whole thing, but it sucked…so it will not see the light of day…lol…maybe I’ll try again! For now, here’s what I use and well as my routine.
STEP 1 | I dampen my hair with vatika oil overnight…but if I don’t have the chance to prepare the night before, I let it soak in for atleast hal an hour
STEP 2 | Mix together Bentonite Clay Mash Treatment with apple cider vinegar and honey
STEP 3 | Let clay sit for 30-45 minutes, make sure it doesn’t dry in your hair
STEP 4 | I wash out the clay with Pantene Pro-V Conditioner for Women of Color
STEP 5 | Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque can be used as both a leave-in and a for styling. I apply it to my hair and do about 8 twists and let my hair air dry overnight
STEP 6 | Unravel in the morning and be happy
